If ye twain turn unto Allah repentant, (ye have cause to do so) for your hearts desired (the ban); and if ye aid one another against him (Muhammad) then lo! Allah, even He, is his Protecting Friend, and Gabriel and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore the angels are his helpers.
At Tahrim 66:4 connects “If ye twain turn unto Allah repentant” with repentance, forgiveness, and the hope of returning sincerely to Allah, inviting attentive reading rather than a hurried conclusion. Return to this ayah in salah or dua and ask what you need to repent of and entrust to Allah’s abundant forgiveness.
